The Shadowdancer Saga

Part I
There is a man, the legends tell, A fighter who you cannot match. A dancer who you cannot fell, A shadow who you cannot catch.
He has two swords, the legends say, One of dark and one of light. The first is made from brightest day, The second made of darkest night.
He walks the world, his grief eternal, He mourns for those he used to know. He hates his life, his wrath infernal, Of what he did so long ago.
He looks for death, but none can match him, None will fight, for none dare try. He looks for love, but none can love

The Raven in My ShoeThe Raven in my shoe cannot fly, It has no wings, Yet still it sings, Of golden fields and open sky.
Gave my first wing to an angel, She left me. Gave my last wing to a lover, Still to find.
Across fields of mud we run, Mud and blood under the blood red sun, Wrestling the beast within, Of hate and sin, We find control and, as one, We dance to the rhythm of the game, Dancing under the demon sun.

Awake and SeeAwake and see. No one is free. Life – the prison, Death – the key.
Alone we fight, against all odds: Angels, demons, men and gods. And we’ll all burn, We’ll never learn, That all things living have their turn.
See what is real and what is not, As we grow old while others rot. See the sky and hear the lie, That you once told and yet forgot.
We kill the sphere we swore to keep. While rain falls down and angels weep. Evil’s here, It’s always near. Yet Baal is dead and Dagon sleeps.

The AncientsThrough many a wood and vale I rode, Down to this sunless place. The fields where now no seeds are sowed, The earth where now no life will grow, And the sun won't show his face.
Many a traveller perished here, Died from shock, from fright or fear, Their souls, they say, still linger here, Upon this darkened place.
An ancient battle here was won, Before the time of Eden's fall. Armies clashed beneath the sun, Yet they are gone, their time has come, For time outlives us all.

What am I?What am I but a wilted rose, perhaps? Perhaps not, for such a thing smells to sweet. If not a rose then chance I be a thorn? Yet, I have never pricked anyone before. Valdonis:
the name Valdonis originally stems from the two latin words "vale" and "donum" which literally translated mean "farewell the sacrifice". also the name "Adonis" makes up part of it. A mythical greek hero who was ripped apart by mad horses and who is also asociated with "Tammuz" the god of death and rebirth.
